I am a certified neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner and coach and a certified consulting hypnotist. I hold Bachelors of Arts and Master’s degrees in Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University.
With over 20 years of experience serving in various leadership roles at three major research universities — Duke University School of Medicine, UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine and Stony Brook University Medical Center and University — I have developed an intense and abiding interest in the strategies, communication styles and thinking of highly effective and successful people.
My passion is to help people overcome conflict and challenges – within themselves and with others – so that they can move forward and feel good about themselves and the life they lead. This passion was the catalyst for launching Ninth Wave Coaching & Hypnosis.
My coaching style is warm, compassionate, non-judgmental and supportive. I approach each individual with curiosity, openness and personalized attention. I strive to create a powerful one-on-one, interactive relationship with each individual. Through the coaching process, I guide my clients to help overcome challenges, plan for the future, and maximize success.
I am available to guide individuals through breaking unproductive habits and helping to create productive, positive behaviors and thinking. The goal is always to motivate my clients towards healthier and happier lives. I work with individuals on stress-related issues, weight mastery, elimination of tobacco products, relationship challenges, life-change and work-change challenges, self-defeating behaviors, self-esteem issues, confidence building, professional/career related issues, and more.

“If I had an hour to solve a problem I'd spend
55 minutes thinking about the problem and
5 minutes thinking about solutions.” — Albert Einstein
This quote illustrates Ninth Wave’s approach in helping guide individuals throughout the process of change. It is important to invest time and effort asking the important questions, exploring one’s values, beliefs and patterns of behavior. This process of discovery greatly helps to improve our understanding of what we really want.
To live the life you want, first you need to know what you want. Being successful in your personal or professional development means first, identifying the results you choose.
Spending more time identifying what you want, instead of focusing on what you don’t want, is key. If you are dealing with some imposed change or seek some desired change in your personal or professional development, the first choice is to call Ninth Wave for a confidential consultation.
Let’s work together and start to get the results you choose!
